Day 1 – Arrival to Costa Rica and travel to Arenal Volcano area.

A Eco Interactive Tours representative will welcome you at the airport and give you an introduction to your trip in Costa Rica.
Your private transportation will take you to Arenal where you will sleep in a family-owned hotel at the edge of the town by the most famous volcano in Costa Rica.

Day 2 – Arenal Volcano

You will start your vacation with an afternoon hike on the slopes of the Arenal Volcano – observing wildlife such as monkeys and toucans. On a clear day you may see red hot lava rocks tumble down the side of the volcano.
You will have the early afternoon to relax and get to know the secrets of the local town.

At night, you’ll be treated to a visit to the ecological hot springs. Here you’ll have the chance to soak in many different pools heated by volcanic activity in beautifully landscaped tropical gardens. You will also enjoy a wonderful typical dinner in the restaurant of the hot springs (included in price). (Breakfast and Dinner included)

Day 3 – Arenal Volcano

Today you will visit a nearby indigenous community where you will learn about medicinal plants, visit tombs and petroglyphs, and watch an indigenous ceremony with traditional dress. You will also hear your indigenous hosts speak among themselves in their native language and hear an explanation of traditional art such as bow & arrow, masks, and drums. Includes a delicious local lunch.

Day 4 – Arenal to Monteverde

Morning transportation across Lake Arenal – this experience is an amazing tour by itself as it combines land and water transportation in a fast and fun way to get to Monteverde. Your transport will pick you up at your hotel in Arenal and take you all the way to front door of your hotel in Monteverde.

After your arrival to your beautiful cloud forest lodge near the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, you will have time for lunch at the hotel or a nearby restaurant. In the afternoon you will tour a working farm that transport you back in time to the Costa Rica of the early 20th century. This tour will show you how the coffee and sugar cane plantations worked in the past and at the same time you will be introduced to the traditions and cuisine of the country. (Breakfast included)

Day 5 – Monteverde

This day starts very early in the morning with a guided hike in the Cloud Forest Reserve with an experienced naturalist guide who will teach you about this unique ecosystem while helping you spot birds and other wildlife.

Take this afternoon to relax and explore the towns in the area.  At dusk you will be picked up for your Twilight Walk, a unique opportunity to observe and learn about the nocturnal habits of the flora and fauna of the cloud forest.

Day 6 – Monteverde to Manuel Antonio

You will take a private shuttle to one of the most beautiful Central Pacific beaches right next to Manuel Antonio National Park, the icon of eco-tourism in Costa Rica.

You will stay in a lovely hotel a few minutes from the beach (easy access with a quick bus or taxi ride). You will also have your semi-private pool at the hotel in case you just want to relax and cool off. (Breakfast included)

Day 7 – Manuel Antonio National Park

Today you will visit one of the most important and beautiful national parks in Costa Rica. This park provides a habitat to countless species of flora and fauna – some of them endemic to the zone and others in extreme danger of extinction. The Manuel Antonio park is a sanctuary to the preservation efforts of neighbors and international institutions. A naturalist guide will help you discover the jewels of this park that are like no other in the world.

After the tour you will have the opportunity to bathe at the beaches of the park. This is a protected bay that is safe for swimming and playing. Day 8 – Manuel Antonio and the Rio Seco

You will enjoy a river walk and canopy bridge tour. Your day begins with a walk along the Rio Seco’s edge. Hand rails, easy to follow footpaths and observation platforms allow you to observe waterfalls and capture the rich biodiversity this unique site has to offer with photographs. Continuing up the trails you will come to a system of suspension bridges which gives you the opportunity to explore the majesty of the forest canopy from a bird’s eye view. After enjoying the trails and hanging bridges you will be treated to a typical lunch. (Continental breakfast and Lunch included)

Day 9 – Manuel Antonio to Central Valley

Enjoy the beach this morning or just relax next to your swimming pool.
In the afternoon your private shuttle will take you to your family-owned and operated hotel near the airport.
